Praising God for my hobby

The TV is turned off. I am so weary of Maduro news and Mamdani news. It may sound gross to be happy for “obituaries,” but I am able to document the recently dearly departed individual and the extended family. Ancestry subscribers, far and wide, may see my information and see the connection to their family. A residentfriend combines jigsaw puzzle pieces. I combine people and create a large “picture” that is beautiful in my eyes. Beautiful in God’s eyes, too?  My ancestors: Biblebelieving, Christcentered individuals.

I went grocery shopping yesterday afternoon (Sunday afternoon). OMG, I think half of Waco was in my favorite grocery store. People, elbow to elbow, no exaggeration. I like to think folks are encouraged by lower grocery prices (and drug costs?). Personally, I was desperate for some “good” food. The meals, served in the dining room, seem to get worse every week. “Meals to die for.” I spent $83.70 on Progresso soup, bananas, fresh salad greens, celery, carrots, bell pepper, Newman’s salad dressing, butter, “ancient grains organic” bread, toilet tissue, and more. No meat, cheese, eggs, cookies, soda, or booze. Also, some Christmas candy on sale for nineteen cents each, and they will go into the Valentine’s Day wagon load of treats.
