Depressed and discouraged

A dear friend sent the Heinzsight “picture.”  She knew I needed a laugh in a very depressing environment. This “retirement home” is vastly understaffed. We wait an hour for our meal and it arrives “cold” or, at best, tepid. I learned yesterday that the housekeeper for our (my) third floor was fired. It was unwarranted but the black Administrator is stripping this facility of “white” employees and replacing them with “black” employees. ~~ I also learned that a resident/friend (in the hospital) will not be returning. She tripped over the dog of one of the residents and it caused a major problem (I can’t explain because I don’t understand). I’ve seen pictures of the bruise and open wound. We are told she is facing amputation of her leg.

With “Heinzsight,”  it was a mistake to move from my “park model” trailer (in the RV Park) to this retirement home. Emphatically, this place was “a little corner of Heaven” for the first year, but has become “Hell” under new ownership. I’ve been keeping a list of residents who have moved or died, as well as the Staff who are no longer here. The total is up to ninety (90) in the period of two years and two months. Honesty, I do not “know” all the residents so there may be other folks who moved. ~~ Further Heinzsight: I regret moving from the RV Park in Livingston, Texas.

More gossip?! A lady-resident–in a one-room “studio”–told me (yesterday) “they” raised her rent $200.00 because September is her Anniversary. Believe it or not: $2100.00 for one room. She is planning to move.

Ancestry is my medicine. I seldom leave my room; I spend my time on the computer “climbing the family tree.”
