Wonderful Wednesday

We enjoyed an interesting, educational tour in Waco. Our bus driver is an encyclopedia of information, and I am delighted to learn more about my “transplanted hometown.”

Before the tour started, I was sitting alone in the bus and used the “quiet time” for prayer. I told my Heavenly Father that I’m ashamed as a confessed discouraged and depressed resident at our facility. I said, “Make me a blessing to someone today.”  At noon, before lunch, I got into conversation with a new residentone I had never visited with. She told me she was in terrible pain “and out of Tylenol, and no money to purchase Tylenol.”  I shared…  ~~ After our midday meal, I took an attractive floor lamp to the public area, anticipating it will find a new home. ~~ Then I took a medical item to a reasonably new resident in a wheelchair, and using oxygen. (In earlier conversation, he confirmed that it would be something he could use.) ~~ Finally, about 2:30, I sat down in my comfortable chair but quickly thought of another project I needed to complete. The cardboard is used to cover the floor vent that is blowing cold air on those us sitting by the wall, at the edge of the dining room.
