Bad news and good news

“Old lady Lorraine” thought she was exchanging the “smartphone” in the hands of “stupid, stupid, stupid”  for Consumer Cellular’s “Senior-friendly” flip phone. Well, now it appears “old lady Lorraine” is still “stupid”  because she is having difficulty getting “set up” on the new device. How humiliating!! I’ve been to the Internet for tutorials and (grudgingly) I confess  I can’t get the phone to “do” what I’m supposed to do. Repeat: How humiliating. That’s the “bad news.”

Yesterday, I ventured down the corridor to the beauty salon to request a haircut appointment. Shannon had a cancellation and could see me right away. To my surprise, residents pay half-price for a haircut on or near their birthday. Pleasant surprise; “good news.” Today I paraded around the dining room with the sign advertising the bonus for the Seniors. The residents would have noticed, and commented on, my haircut so I did some advertising for Shannon. ~~~~ “Crazy” and “stupid”?! ~~~~ (Failed as a photographer, too. I should have taken several… [as I usually do]. “Old lady Lorraine” discovered her “goof” in the photo gallery just before preparation of this message.) ~~~~
