Exhausted and disillusioned

Lorraine really needs prayer!

Two days of charitable labor and now the man says he decided he will stay here. I was exhausted at the end of each day but feeling good about my end of the project. Now the thought of “moving it back” is making me angry!! That is NOT A HEALTHY ATTITUDE. ~~ “Old Lady Lorraine” (disillusioned “old lady Lorraine”) walked out of the dining room (at noon) because an hour-and-one-half and she hadn’t been served. Her table companions had their meal. ~~ I have refrained from telling my readers that “management” won’t let me display the sign (in the public areas) saying “the hearing aid man will be here on the 9th.”   I don’t mind being “a walking billboard” but I’m angry because the resident’s welfare is not a priority (IMHO)!  Remember a couple of weeks ago, “management” wouldn’t allow us to display the rooster jigsaw puzzle in the public area. I voluntarily “do” for my neighbors. I could spend every hour of every day “climbing the family tree.”  No “climbing” for three days. ~~ “Supper time” as I publish this post but I’m not going to supper!! ~~

  1. Good grief. Does he have a choice in staying? Or the ability to still live independently? That’s a lot of work. Maybe somebody can help at least move the items? What was the issue with you not getting a meal? Did you inquire during the wait time? What was their response? A new bed might still be a nice treat. You can even order bed frames and mattresses on Walmart.com, Amazon, etc these days…thrift stores are good places to find chairs, or places like Office Depot, where you can actually sit in them and try them.
