“Rooster” motivation

One of my neighbors, another resident wants to save this awesome jigsaw puzzle. I’ve never been a “jigsaw puzzle” person because I prefer to “puzzle” over pieces of Ancestry information. We want to turn the rooster over and glue the pieces together. Our efforts are futile. I/we have tried several ways and “rooster” won’t slide onto the paper. The cardboard boxes that I furnished are too small.  Sleepless night trying to “figure out” the solution. ~~ I rarely leave the retirement home but “necessity is the mother of invention.”  I drove to Hobby Lobby and requested information in the picture framing department. No help. I browsed and browsed, and browsed.  I found much larger sheets of cardboard (designed for signs), and puzzle spray glue.  For a couple of hours, I traipsed around every aisle, and display shelves, looking at the Christmas decorations. Christmas was on sale for half-price. I purchased items I was attracted to. I didn’t “need” a thing (beyond supplies for the rooster puzzle) but saw things I could share with my neighbors. (1) A Nativity scene and over-the-door hanger for a dear Christian new acquaintance. (2) Kitchen hand towel with Christmas tree in the back of a Ford pickup truck. My next-door neighbor has a Ford truck display/sign on his door. ~~ For Lorraine: A string of “Jingle Bells,” another hat, and more Christmas cards.
