“Lady of Leisure” (too sick to climb the family trees) spent time at the computer creating a crossword puzzle. I have this variety of surnames in the Lorraine Frantz Family Tree. These are everyday common words that are surnames. I have dozens of “uncommon” names like Ackerman, Brubaker, Cripe, Detweiler, Eikenberry, Funderburg, Garst, Hopkins, Imhoff, Jaeger, Kreider, Lecron, Meyer, Neher, Onkst, Peterseim, Quackenbush, Royer, Steiner, Traxler, Unger, Vaniman, Winkleman, Xander, and Zug. FYI: I have been collecting the everyday common words surnames for months (years?) and thought I was overdue to discard the scratch paper. (Click the image to enlarge it for better viewing.)
On “pins and needles” and “chewing my fingernails” waiting for information about the results of the election. “Fingers crossed” both hands–and praying… (Try crossing your fingers and clasping your hands in prayer. It looks weird.)
