Plus a stop at the grocery store and pharmacy.

Because of a health problem two years ago (that put me in the hospital), I am encouraged to take a prescription for Eloquis  for the rest of my life. I have fought against prescription drugs, flu shots, etc., all my adult life. I have a wonderful lady doctor who lovingly says she doesn’t want me to have a stroke. and insists that I refill my prescription. I agree; I don’t want a stroke. While waiting for the prescription, I browsed the grocery aisles for the few items on my list. I nearly had a heart attack when the total for groceries was $177.58. Mega bucks for the prescription. I’m patting myself on the back because I was braving Waco wicked, wild, worse traffic imaginable. Even with hand-written instructions regarding directions to the polling place, I got lost. Fourteen miles driven (total) and should have been less than ten miles.  Tomorrow, I’ll be driving across town for the regularly scheduled (twice a year, by MediCare) doctor appointment. Keeping my KIA is a luxury but it is valuable for doctor appointments, pharmacy, and occasional voting. Also, it’s good to have a few groceries in my apartment for those occasions when I don’t go to the dining room because “I have a tiger by the tail”  and can’t tear myself away from the computerand Ancestry.
