Terrible Tuesday

This is one praise–worthy item for this otherwise “terrible Tuesday.”  As mentioned in an earlier blog message, two local Thrift Shops will not “pick up” donations. I did my homework (Google searches for addresses) so I could deliver the items. To make certain “they” would be available when I arrived… I called my favorite charity. “We are not accepting donations.”  I checked with my second choice and was informed I could deliver to the back door and someone would help me. “Terrible Tuesday”  because I got lost trying to locate the business. The box of canned goods, food items, was rejected. I spent a few minutes inside the store and saw, and purchased, the magnifying glass on a stand. That will free up my left hand which has been holding a magnifying glass. My left elbow has a callous from leaning against the table, holding the magnifying glass. “Terrible Tuesday”  because I hate Waco traffic and I got lost when I was ready to head back to the retirement facility. I was a nervous wreck when I got back home (and I missed lunch). Tomorrow morning, I will move items from my apartment to the KIA and deliver a second load.  Not this afternoon because the indoor-outdoor thermometer says 103 degrees and the “feels like” is significantly higher. ~~ Today I have a “good buy”  and tomorrow I will say “goodbye”  to the remainder of the enormous collection of items for donations.
