“Old age” fosters limitations

Gratefully, there are tools to compensate for shortcomings. I’m so grateful for my reasonably good health. Residents all around me use wheelchairs, walkers, or canes. Gratefully, I hike up and down two flights of stairs without assistance. I confess to the need for hearing aids, glasses, and a magnifying glass. This morning I took a few minutes to “clean” the magnifying glass. Amazing the difference!

Several hours (this afternoon) browsing Hobby Lobby and Michaels wore me out“! (Old age fosters limitations.) I wanted to find “patriotic” items for future costumes. Nothing at H.L. but unlimited choices at Michaels (and 60% discount).

Look at those cute glasses that will be worn with the cap and “gold metal” (to the dining room) while the USA is participating in the upcoming Olympics. Look at the unique clip-on magnifying glasses. Those… were an unexpected bonus for “old eyes.” (I didn’t know such an item existed!)

True story: The first remarks (at the top) were prepared this morningwith the first two pictures. The balance of this blog message was prepared in the late evening. I am convinced finding the “magnification glasses” was another of the MANY occasions when God, my Heavenly Father, revealed that He is interested in the smallest details of my life.
