A lesson in “hacking”

Very interesting information (from a cousin) and a surprise twist on the feature I use frequently.

Ancestry.com should create a comparison feature, like the one you hacked.  “Hacked” is a techie term for cleverly using an existing feature to create a new feature. In most cases, a tool or feature is missing, so a clever person finds a way to use the only available tool to get the job done.

 

 

 

 

Other definitions of hack refer to other things (to use a hatchet to hack a piece of wood, a cough, to invade a computer system illegally, a taxicab driver, etc.).
