Just a janitor, cleaning up messes

Followers of my blog are familiar with my observation that I am “just a janitor, cleaning up messes.”  I’m constantly correcting misinformation observed on “their” Ancestry family tree. Well, the sick old lady (for more than a week) was forced to clean up gallons of water (what a mess). The toilet tank was leaking Now some background information: For many months, I have had to manually adjust the float after every flush. I get my exercise lifting the very heavy ceramic tank cover. Apparently, I didn’t “get it right”  the last time… and it was leaking for about an hour before I discovered the disaster.

Before the day is gone, I’ll take a muchneeded shower. Tonight,  I’d love to crawl into clean sheets but I didn’t do my regular laundry items. ~~ I’m grateful for these ancient towels and sheets that helped me “mop up” the water. I’m grateful for God-given strength to turn the knob off. Furthermore: Praise God the situation did not occur shortly after one of my middleofthenight trips to the bathroom. Imagine the extensive damage to my apartment, and the downstairs apartment, if several hours had elapsed.
