Sights, sounds and smells !

I’m wide awake and probably won’t be able to go back to sleep. The fire alarms “went off” at 3:15 AM and the residents suffered the extremely loud, piercing noise. “Suffered” is an exaggeration but the sound is terrible. We’ve been told the safest place is “in your room” but I went down the hall, to a window, to watch for the fire engine. We have this “noteworthy” experience frequently so I watch for the fire engine… and the firemen turn off the alarm. Firemen walk the halls…

Yesterday, the painters covered the “wood grain” appearance of my door with charcoal gray paint. Up and down the hall, gray doors, and a patch of gray on the wall. The smell of paint.
