Traumatized !!

Seriously, I have been emotionally distraught!! This retirement facility is going through a major remodeling. Upper management, owners out-of-state dictated that the pictures were to go into the dumpster!! Many of “us” residents begged the resident manager for the pictures to go to an antiques and collectibles store, or Goodwill, or Salvation Army. “NO”  the pictures had to go into the dumpster!! Many of us “old folks” loved the beautiful images in beautiful frames. We may be forced to look at “modern art”? Quietly, recklessly, some of us “saved” a few pictures from the ground floor. The third floor is experiencing the first makeover (my floor) and we didn’t have time to rescue pictures. Likewise, the pictures have been removed from the second floor. Today, all the pictures on the ground floor are destined for the dumpster. ~~ Changing the subject: Recently the residents were asked to complete a survey regarding all aspects of Lakeshore Estates. I rated everything “excellent.”  If I were to complete the survey today, I would be far less complimentary!! ~~  Couldn’t sleep, depressed… so I prepared this blog message. Approximately 5:15 AM as I publish this message.
