Life is like a box of chocolates…

…you never know what you’re going to get.”  (You, the reader.) After lunch, I acquired numerous items to use as accessories for my costumesoutfits that I wear to the dining room on selective occasions. (I should “downsize” rather than “acquire.”)

(You never know what you are going to get.) Last night, I was wide away and creating an image to illustrate the family I have been researching for a week. That family is a vivid illustration of the scripture verse that says the sins of the father will be visited to the third and fourth generation.

(In Exodus 34:7, God speaks to Moses and says that He punishes the children for the iniquity of the fathers “to the third and fourth generation.” The same idea is found earlier in Exodus 20:5 as God spoke the Ten Commandments to Moses. Here and in other verses, the word father can be understood as referring to both fathers and mothers. The NIV simply refers to “the sin of the parents.”)

Truthfully, I was so sad as I documented the children living with relatives, or a foster home. It is a dysfunctional family!! The research prompted me to thank God, my Heavenly Father, for ancestors that I can celebrate because generation after generation of Christians honoring, and serving, God.
