Plagiarism: Presenting work or ideas from another source as your own, with or without consent of the original author, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgment

This genealogist/researcher looks at volumes of information–and saves a plethora of data to her Ancestry.com database. When an infant researcher (1985), I was introduced to the book titled Cite Your Sources, embraced the information, and memorized the instructions. I believe I follow them to this day. However, recent news stories have prompted me to question whether I have, unintentionally, saved information in the Lorraine Frantz Family Tree without the proper citation.
